Ronald J. Saca – President & CEO: Mr. Saca is the senior operating officer of the company and has over 30 years of steel industry experience. Mr. Saca was instrumental in establishing Oxbow Steel. He joined Oxbow in 1997 and is part of the management team which purchased the company in 2013. Prior to joining Oxbow, he spent 17 years with Pinole Point Steel, Inc. (“PPSC”), a California-based manufacturer of galvanized steel and pre-painted products. During his tenure at PPSC, he held a number of senior sales and management positions and was Vice President, Commercial when he left in 1997. Mr. Saca gained his initial steel industry experience at Kaiser Steel. Mr. Saca received his B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, Chico and has attended executive management programs at Harvard University and Stanford University.
David A. Catterlin – CFO: Dave joined Oxbow in 2009 and is part of the management team which purchased the company in 2013. He has spent over 30 years in the steel industry, in manufacturing, trading and distribution. He has held a variety of operating, sales/marketing and general management positions, including time as President of Pinole Point Steel and Vice President, Commercial for California Steel Industries, where he worked for 14 years. Dave gained his initial steel industry experience at Kaiser Steel. He has earned a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. in Finance & Marketing from UCLA.
William “Willy” Linton – Vice President – General Manager: Mr. Linton joined OSI in December 2007 in the newly created position of General Manager. He has been in the steel industry for over 20 years mainly working for pre-engineered metal building manufacturers in a variety of plant, operational and general management roles.
Zandra Rios-Martinez – Controller: Zandra joined Oxbow Steel in 2008. She began her career as a Senior Accountant with Oxbow Corporation, left Oxbow to hold various positions at Tyco International for several years and then returned to Oxbow as the Assistant Controller of Oxbow Steel. After 2 years with Oxbow Steel, she was promoted to Controller. She received a B.S. in accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
Paul H. Talbot – Executive Vice President Sales – Western Region: Mr. Talbot joined the company in 2000 and has accumulated more than 30 years of steel industry experience commencing when he was hired by Kaiser Steel Corp. as a management intern. He subsequently held a variety of sales and executive positions throughout his tenure at Kaiser. Mr. Talbot also played an instrumental role in the start-up of California Steel Industries (“CSI”) in 1984 and served in a variety of executive sales and marketing positions including General Manager of Tubular and General Manager of Galvanized Products until joining Oxbow. Mr. Talbot received his B.S. in Economics from Stanford University and had attended executive management programs at UCLA and Claremont College.
Christopher J. Campese – Executive Vice President Sales – Eastern Region: Mr. Campese joined OSI in November of 2009. With over 14 years in the flat rolled steel industry, he brings extensive knowledge of pre-painted products and Just in Time inventory management programs mainly servicing the metal construction industry. Chris is a graduate of Geneva College where he received a B.S. in Business Administration, while lettering 4 years and eventually serving his college football team as a captain. He has been a member of the Association of Steel Distributors, the Metal Construction Association, and the National Coil Coating Association during his tenure in the steel industry.
Michael S. Gable – VP Sales – Eastern Region: Michael joined OSI in July of 2016. Since 1993, he has been actively importing and distributing light gauge bare and coated, flat-rolled, steel products into residential HVAC and construction applications. With particular emphasis in Japan, Taiwan, and India, Michael has built relationships with foreign suppliers and domestic customers. Mr. Gable received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
Aroldo Hernandez – VP Sales – Western Region: Mr. Hernandez joined OSI in 2005 as a sales executive based in Southern California. Prior to joining Oxbow, Mr. Hernandez spent 14 years with California Steel Industries where he held a number of sales, marketing and customer service positions. Mr. Hernandez received his B.S. in Business Management from the University of Redlands.
Tadd M. Sapone – Sales Manager – Eastern Region: Mr. Sapone joined OSI in 2011 after spending fourteen years in various executive sales positions. Nine years of which, Tadd spent working with general contractors and architects providing architectural and acoustical products to the commercial construction market. In his last five years, Tadd has worked in steel distribution focusing on light gauge steel for metal building and roofing applications. Tadd graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Matt Nemec – Sales Representative – Eastern Region: Mr. Nemec joined OSI in September of 2013. Prior to joining OSI, Matt spent two years in the banking industry where he held various sales and management roles. He is a 2011 graduate of Bethany College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Eric M. Rusnock – Sales Representative – Eastern Region: Mr. Rusnock joined OSI in April of 2015. Prior to joining Optima, Eric spent three years with Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum, where he held a number of sales, engineering and customer service positions. Eric is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
James A. Page – Consultant: He has more than 30 years of experience in the steel industry from all aspects of supply. First, working for Integrated Mills, then as a key supplier of refractory products to many of the Mills in North America, then working as a customer of the Mills for one of the largest roll-forming companies in North America. After that role, Mr. Page has worked as a consultant. Mr. Page has progressed through management ranks in Sales, Business Development, General Management, and as President over his career. Mr. Page understands the needs of the supply channel from raw steel to fabrication to the construction site. Mr. Page obtained his Honors BA and MBA from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
Daniel Haynes – Quality Manager: Mr. Haynes joined OSI in August of 2014 in a newly created position of Quality Manager. He brings extensive experience from the metal building industry working with customers and suppliers in the areas of product development and claim resolution.
Erica Denes – Claims Manager: Ms. Denes joined OSI in November 2010. She began her career as an Account Administrator with Oxbow Corporation and was promoted to Claims Manager for Optima Steel in 2015. Ms. Denes received her BA in Geography from California State University Fresno and worked as a GIS Analyst before starting her career in the steel industry. She is continuing her education, working towards a degree in Business.
